5 Tips on how to succeed with your New Year's Resolutions :
1. Decide on a goal -
( "I will lose 20 lbs in the next 90 days" - be realistic, you did not gain it in 4 weeks, so you will not lose it in a month either, it takes time )
2. Make a commitment -
( if you are "interested" in losing weight you will only do what is convenient, if you are committed you will do whatever it takes to achieve your goal )
3. Make a plan & follow it daily -
( decide the night before when you are working out and what you will have for your meals, if it's not in your schedule, it won't happen )
4. Find an accountability buddy -
( someone to do your workouts with, or at least to talk to, or jot a note on big calendar - "did workout and ate healthy lunch", seeing it written will reinforce your efforts )
5. Celebrate and reward yourself -
( pat yourself on the back and say " I did it" - even if it's 5 lbs and treat yourself to some new clothes, or a nice relaxing massage - positive reinforcement will help for a new habit to stay )
